About Us

3291 Au Pirates, the robotics team at Park Center Senior High School, is a co-curricular activity that takes place during the Fall and Winter seasons for grades 9-12. The team is open and welcomes all students, whether they have experience or not. The Au Pirates believe in the idea of freedom in a work area. The team is split into three different parts; fabrication, navigation, and business.

The Park Center (PC) Robotics team, Au Pirates, has had a long history with the FIRST program. We started years back as the PiRats; that team unfortunately disbanded due to the lack of a coach and interest. PC didn’t participate in FRC competitions for a few years after the disbandment of the team. However, in the Stronghold season of 2016, a coach rebooted the team. Starting fresh, team started fresh with an old number but all new students, mentors, and coaches. We had random parts and no knowledge of robotics. The Au Pirates (pronounced golden pirates), team 3291, has since proudly taken part in FRC games and FTC games: Stronghold, Steamworks, Relic Recover, Power-Up, Rover Ruckus, Destination Deep Space, Ultimate Goal, Infinite Recharge and Freight Frenzy.
