INCOMING 9th GRADE PARENT INFORMATION MEETING

  • Thursday, January 19 at 6:30pm in the MGSH Auditorium.

  • Topics discussed will include graduation planning related to college and/or career aspirations, how to pick classes best aligned with student interests, differences between regular vs. accelerated course offerings, and elective options for the 2023-24 school year. There will also be time at the end of the presentation for Q & A.

  • This event is optional for all incoming 9th grade parents, but highly encouraged for families with a first time high school student!

REGISTRATION CONFERENCES

  • Thursday, January 26 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at MGSH.

  • Meet Principal Dr. Becker during a short welcome presentation in the Auditorium.

  • Counselors and teachers from each department will be available to answer questions prior to selecting final course selections.

  • Receive technical support entering course selections online through StudentVUE.

  • The school building will be open for self-guided tours.

  • All families are highly encouraged to attend; however, families who have completed the registration process for an older MGSH student within the last five years, and feel confident about their course selections and have no registration questions, may complete the process online through StudentVUE.

  • All final course selections for incoming 9th grade students are due by 11:59pm on Thursday, January 26th.

  • Students who receive Special Education or English Language Learner services should attend their scheduled appointment as communicated to them by their case manager or EL teacher.

  • To best accommodate all families, please arrive (report to the Auditorium) at the following times according to your student's last name:

    • 3:00pm Student last names A - G

    • 4:00pm Student last names H - N

    • 5:00pm Student last names O - Z

    • 6:00pm Anyone unable to attend at their assigned time
