2022-2023 MGSH
Registration Resources

Welcome to the MGSH Registration Hub! Use the resources on this site to learn more about our course offerings, graduation requirements, and how to register for next year's classes. The registration process is extremely important since the course requests you make will determine which courses are offered at MGSH next school year. Please choose wisely as it is extremely difficult, and often not possible, to make schedule changes once the process is complete. Course selections should appropriately challenge students while considering extracurricular commitments and post high school plans.

All current 9th, 10th and 11th grade MGSH students will receive additional information and registration materials in their Foundations class (students should check in with their teacher and Schoology course). Current 8th grade students will receive information at their middle schools. All final course selections are due no later than 11:59pm on Thursday, January 27 via StudentVUE.

REGISTRATION STEPS

  1. Preview the Course Handbook and Department Pages to learn more about our course offerings.

  2. View the tabs on this site to select your specific class/grade level for registration materials. Fill out the Graduation Planning Worksheet to plan your next steps to meet all of your graduation requirements. Talk to your current teachers if you need recommendations or advice on classes that make the most sense for you.

  3. Current MGSH students will fill out a Registration Course Card during Foundations (digital course cards will be distributed virtually during distance learning - see Foundations teacher with any questions) and should review this with a parent/guardian. Attend all Foundations class periods in the month of January to ensure you successfully complete the registration process. Current 8th graders will receive a Registration Course Card at their middle schools (digital course cards will be distributed virtually during distance learning).

    • Students who receive Special Education or English Learner services should collaborate with their case managers or EL teachers as well to ensure accurate placement in classes.

  4. When current MGSH students feel confident in their course selections and have reviewed it with their parent/guardian, enter all 18 course numbers (and 6 alternative choices) into StudentVUE (link coming soon - online registration opens on January 19) to officially register for the 2022-2023 school year. Current 8th grade families will register for classes at home via StudentVUE or receive help from MGSH staff virtually on January 27 (google meet link will be posted soon).
