Non-probationary
Observations with administrator: The administrator completes a minimum of two formal observations for each teacher and provides feedback. The third observation is done with a Peer Leader. Teachers are responsible for collecting student growth data and student engagement data as well as completing a self-appraisal and self-reflection according to domains of Charlotte Danielson’s Enhancing Professional Practice: A Framework for Teaching.
Probationary and LTS
Observations with administrator: Three written evaluations using the Performance Appraisal System are required for probationary teachers, full-year long-term substitute teachers, and non-substitute teachers who work 120 or more days during the school year. Two written evaluations (Report One and Three) are required for non-substitute probationary teachers who work 60 to 119 days and one written evaluation (Report One) is required for non-substitute probationary teachers who teach less than 60 days.
Probationary and non-TDE staff follow these requirements:

1.0 FTE = 2 observations
Less than 1.0 FTE = 1 observation
Required observations are on based on adjusted FTE for the year
Summative Conference with peer leader: meeting in the spring to reflect on the year as well as set goals for upcoming school year.
Teachers in TDE Cycle Year follow these requirements:
Observations with peer leader:
One observation cycle that includes a planning conference, observation, and reflective conversation.
Opportunity to collect student engagement data for TDE.
Opportunity to prepare/reflect.
Summative Conference with peer leader: meeting in the spring to reflect on the year as well as set goals for upcoming school year.
