I have the pleasure of teaching all three grades year round...
Because of this establishing clear procedures, routines, and expectations in both the classroom and the foods lab room is of paramount importance! Routines ensure that students know what to expect and how to navigate daily tasks, ultimately reducing disruptions and promoting a conducive learning environment. In the foods lab, well-defined procedures and expectations are crucial for safety and the development of culinary skills. Overall, these elements lay the foundation for a successful and productive learning experience in both settings! I look forward to having your learner in class!
First and foremost follow the falcon way:
Is what I’m saying and doing done with a Positive attitude?
Is what I’m saying and doing showing Respect for all?
Is what I’m saying and doing showing Integrity?
Is what I’m saying and doing an example of Doing the right thing?
Is what I’m saying or doing showing Effort towards learning?
Late submissions can be challenging, and my goal is to strike a balance between providing flexibility and maintaining fairness and accountability. Markups will NOT be accepted after a certain time due to lab expectations.
While I do accept most other late work with a penalty, it's essential to emphasize that grading late assignments is not an emergency!
I understand that there are legitimate reasons for late submissions, and I strive to accommodate such situations while maintaining fairness to all students. However, it's important to remember that the responsibility for submitting assignments on time lies with the YOU the student.
Grading late work takes time and consideration. Because I teach multiple classes new assignments take priority for ALL classes!
For example:
6th grade has an assignment due on 9/25
7/8th grade has an assignment due 9/26
A 6th grade student turns in their assignment 9/28. My priority will lie with the 6th grade students who turned in their work 9/25 AND the 7/8 who turned in their work 9/26. This could be the difference between waiting for 30 students ahead of you or 100.
Due to this I ask for your patience as I review late submissions, especially during peak times in the school year. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter. Let's work together to ensure a productive and enriching educational experience.
It is an expectation at FRMS that YOU the student are checking Schoology on days absent for any missed work.
If you cannot find a resource, assignment, or are having difficulty that cannot be answered by exploring our schoology page please contact me.
