Family and Consumer Sciences

FCCLA is the perfect activity for anyone and everyone regardless of your future career plans. This activity looks amazing on college applications because it encourages you to get involved in your community. Our members are given numerous volunteer and community service opportunities, chapter activities and events to get involved with, including national FCCLA week in February and STAR Events. FCCLA stands for Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. Through this organization, members learn leadership skills to help them achieve their goals and find what their passions are.

Family and Consumer Science (FCS) classes teach you skills that are helpful when dealing with human development, personal and family finance, relationships, housing, fashion and interior design, food science, nutrition, wellness, textiles, and consumer issues. Family and Consumer Science classes have many career pathways that students are able to get hands on experience to help them decide for their future. FCCLA and FCS classes are essential for preparing students for life after high school, in college and future careers!
