Performing Opportunities in ISD 196 

In addition to the academic, emotional, and musical growth that occurs in day-to-day rehearsals, 5th-12th grade band programs in District 196 provide students with a variety of performance opportunities that stretch beyond the classroom. The presence of Band for All in our district ensures that all students have access to these experience, regardless of their financial situation. In addition to standard concert band performances, additional performance opportunities and experiences include (but are not limited to):

Ensembles & Performances:

• Elementary school performances: Foyer Fests (Winter Day, Neon Day, Beach Day), "Let's Glow Band"

• Collaborative performances/clinics between elementary, middle and high schools

• Pit Orchestras

• Marching Bands - both competitive and non-competitive

• Pep Bands

• Carnival Concert (EHS Freshman Band service project)

• Jazz Bands - including Jazzigals (EHS - all female jazz ensemble)

• Festivals: Solo/Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Band

• Small Ensemble Programs

• Honor Bands/All-State Ensembles

• Target Center, US Bank Stadium, TCO Performance Center

• Minneapolis Convention Center (by invitation from the Minnesota Music Educators Association)
