A Brief Introduction (About Me)...
I was raised in the quaint, southern suburbs of Monroe, NC, which is located in Union County. Although the township itself is named Fairview, the locals often refer to the area as Goose Creek. Many of my family and friends still reside in this community. I however, live in Cabarrus county with my immediate family. I am blessed to be married to my very best friend. My husband and I have a beautiful, and charismatic daughter.
We purchased our “forever home” in 2012 in Concord, NC. We are extremely happy as it did not take long for us to become completely acclimated to our new community. On the weekends, we enjoy our time together by attending church, walking downtown, and going to various parks. Otherwise, my favorite place to visit is Lake Tillery. We visit there as often as we are able and enjoy spending time in our boat.
Aside from spending as much time as possible with my family, one of my primary passions is helping others learn. I thoroughly enjoy teaching. It is my profound belief that the moment a person recognizes his or her ability to learn is when the gates to success are forever unhinged. Thus, in order to promote learning and achievement, I strive to not only ignite others' innate passions, but guide them through their journey of discovery. In order to do this effectively, I engage each learner with strategies that are not only relevant, but rigorous. In doing so, the learner will not only be challenged, yet he/she will also remain interested in learning which will ultimately lead to growth and development. These simple, truths drive me to succeed personally and professionally.
I am 100% passionate about learning.
I believe that people are internally motivated.
I believe that all behavior is purposeful.
I believe that when a team of people recognize and harness the above truths, ANYTHING is possible.
Success is inevitable with a shared, common vision.
