Mensa for Kids

This link has "games" for kids; also has an extensive reading list that is set up by genre, age, author etc.

There are great reading options; look at the "Excellence in Reading" under the "Achieve" tab.

Epic!

Epic!  says has 35,000 ebooks, videos and quizzes and other free teacher and librarians resources.

**Teachers can sign up and give you a code and/or parents can sign up for a free trial. 

Storyline Online

Storyline Online is a site where LOTS of picture books are read aloud by famous actors and tv personalities.  Each book contains a teacher's guide with a synopsis of the story and possible lesson plans to utilize. 

Wordle

Test your word smarts with this daily word game. Six chances to guess the daily 5 letter word. Come back each day to see if you can beat your score.

Imagineering in a box

Imagineering in a Box- Walt Disney partners with Khan Academy to bring you 'Imagineering in a Box.' The series offers 32 videos in which Imagineers share how they use a wide range of skills – from story development and conceptual design, to math, physics and engineering – to create immersive experiences. There are three lessons. #1 Creating Worlds, #2 Designing Attractions, #3 Bringing Characters to Life.

The MathsChallenge site provides a multitude of problems and solutions as well as archived problems for kids to solve.  It contains helpful links that define mathematical terms, if needed.  Quite challenging!

Solve the outbreak

Use your critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills to solve each case while playing disease detective with the interactive online game from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Kids can earn badges and points for each case solved, which will unlock more challenging cases.

Crash Course for Kids is a Youtube channel that has videos on various topics about engineering, Earth Science, Physical Science,  Life Science and Space Science.  Videos are engaging, short and informative.  Great for kids who "need to know" how things work.

There is a huge "Learning Lab Collection" which can be searched by resource type, content area or specific topic. It includes videos, audio files, images, articles, projects, and more.

A free account can be created which allows you to save, share, cite, etc.

Explorer Classroom

Explorer Classroom is brought to you by National Geographic. Students or classes can join live interactive sessions with scientists, storytellers, and researchers. All events are free and include an instructional guide. Can't join live? You can still check out past live sessions under their "Watch Past Events" tab.
