Instead of a traditional textbook, we use the guided reading program in 4th grade ELA. Students assessed for fluency and comprehension. Their reading level is then determined and they are matched up with classmates of similar reading level. These guided reading groups are given high-quality texts to work through with Mrs. Reyes. We meet weekly to review comprehension skills, go over key vocabulary terms, and complete hands on activities.
