I am an Antwerp Alumni class of 2010. Upon graduation, I attended The Ohio State University. In 2015, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education. I continued my education at Western Governor's University in 2021 and earned my Master of Education degree in Learning and Technology.
For three years I was at Wayne Trace Payne Elementary as a 5th grade Language Arts and 6th grade Science teacher. While I loved my job, I always wanted to come back to Antwerp Schools. I was hired by Antwerp in July of 2018 to become a 5th grade teacher.
I currently live in Antwerp with my husband Philip. Together we have four children; Alexys, Tyler, Braxtyn, and Ava. Outside of family time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, teaching dance classes, cooking, being outside, drawing, and crafting.
I believe education is evolving as our society evolves. Because I am educating our 21st century learners, I will be implementing 21st century learning skills into my classroom each day. This includes researched based strategies that allow students to be successful in a variety of ways. The goal is to make each student successful and confident in their abilities.
