I’m excited to work with you and your student this year! Strong communication between school and home is key to supporting students and helping them find success this year. To that end, I’m using the following tools: 

• Google Classroom: Once your students have joined our class, I will invite you to join. This will allow Google to send you a daily or weekly (your choice!) email summary of assigned work and announcements. You’ll also be automatically notified if your student fails to submit work by the due date. (Note: If your student is returning to AMHS this year, you are likely already linked to their Classroom account.)

• Surveys: Students have been asked to complete a short survey that tells me more about their interests, learning styles, and concerns as we start the year. I’m hoping you’ll take a few minutes to complete the family survey. I'd like to learn more about your student and your concerns as we head into the new school year.

• SchoolBrains Community Portal: This website allows you to access your student’s current grades, as well as progress reports and report cards. The office will send information home about how to create your account. 

• Monthly emails: Each month, I'll send out 1-2 emails to all students and families with important updates and reminders.
