Yes, AppleTree provides breakfast to all students free of charge during the designated breakfast hours. While breakfast is typically offered between 8:00am - 8:30am, please consult with your AppleTree campus for exact serving time.
Families that qualify for free or reduced meals through the USDA National School Lunch Program (NSLP) receive lunch free of charge, however, qualifying families are still required to register for school lunch. Parents will be asked to complete an electronic registration form for all services. In order to qualify for free lunch, parents must complete the NSLP Family Application by supplying household size and income information.
AppleTree currently provides Extended Day Services based on a monthly commitment. At this time, AppleTree does not offer a drop-in service (or daily service) for students. Parents interested in Extended Day must register for a full month of service at a time.
Families must opt out of Extended Day (before and/or after-school) or lunch before the month of service is to be provided (example: Families should inform the school in October if they’re not interested in participating in November).
Families will be billed one week prior to the month of service (typically on the 20th of the month). Payment for all upcoming services must be paid in advance of the service.
Payments must be made in full by the 1st of the month. For example, families will need to remit payment for October services (such as before-school) by October 1st.
AppleTree PCS reserves the right to remove any student with an unpaid balance from the billable service(s) he or she receives.
If you have any questions about billable student services and this FAQ, please contact your campus operations staff.
AppleTree PCS reserves the right to deny Before/After Care services to any family with a past due balance, until that balance is paid in full. AppleTree will not grant any payment arrangements for balances from the previous school year.
AppleTree charges families using a tiered rate system. Tiers correspond directly with the qualifying category you receive through the USDA's National School Lunch Program family application. The rate is significantly reduced for the months with fewer school days (August, December, and June). Here's how AppleTree determines your monthly rate for Extended Day:
