Both rookie teams and seasoned teams often ask "How do we prepare for FLL judging." Well, the best thing about FIRST judging is that there are no secrets. FIRST publishes all the information on the judging rubrics, process, and expectations on its website. Sometimes, it's just locating it that is a challenge. The links are set out below.
Teams should:
Read all the Challenge Documents including the Updates;
Know and understand all the rules;
Review the "Judging Overview" document for important changes;
Study the Rubrics - these are the actual evaluation terms, numbers, criterion used by the judges;
Create a presentation that expands and discusses each rubric and try for the "Accomplished" level;
Search out past team's video presentations online for ideas and examples. Search FLL Project Presentation or FLL Presentation;
The team should create a fun presentation that they enjoy.
