Directions in South Korea
Almost all international flights land at the Seoul/Incheon airport.
The most convenient way of traveling from the airport to Pohang is to take the train. There is a frequent train from the airport to Seoul station (both regular commuter "all-stop" train, about 1 hour, and an express train, about 45 minutes). No reservation is needed or possible. Pohang is located at approximately 270 km from the city of Seoul and it is well connected via the high speed train KTX, which takes 2.5 hrs from Seoul to Pohang Train Station. Usually a reservation is not needed, not even on Sunday which is a busy day, but on special occasions the KTX trains might get full. So if you want to play safe you should book a ticket beforehand, see https://www.letskorail.com/
There are also flights connecting Pohang Airport with Gimpo Airport in Seoul. The "all-stop" train from Incheon airport stops also at the Gimpo airport. Pohang Airport is located approximately 9 km outside the city center.
