Bernice holds her Master's degree in Urban Design: Public Space Regeneration & Public Art from the University of Barcelona, where she graduated in 2012. She is also currently studying for her Doctoral degree in Conscious Business Ethics at the University of Sedona.
Bernice has served as a Director-At-Large for the Canadian Institute of Planners, a former Council member for the Alberta Professional Planners Institute, Advisory Committee member for the National Advisory Committee on Affordable Housing in Canada, a volunteer consultant for the Council of the New Urbanism California Chapter, and a peer review member for a journal in Colombia called "Tekne".
Moving forward, she is working on a book and speaking locally and internationally and actively mentoring leaders of change.
When not engaged with work, Bernice teaches AICP prep-sessions, mentors upcoming planners, and hosts a weekly live broadcast featuring 'be-comers of change' who call themselves #Leapers, she likes road trips, photography, film, and writing.
Sean is a Project Manager & Senior Planner at Mead & Hunt and is located in their Wilmington, DE office. Sean has over 20 years of professional experience specializing in land use planning, housing, transportation planning, community development, real estate development, real estate market research, and sustainable communities. He brings a unique perspective to his projects due in part to having worked in the public sector at the state, county and municipal levels as well as experience in private sector real estate. Sean’s expertise also includes public engagement, economic development, the NEPA process, aging in communities, grant writing, and program management.
Before joining Mead & Hunt in 2025, Sean spent the previous 7 years of his career working at the University of Delaware Institute for Public Administration where he was responsible for managing a wide variety of planning projects for local governments and state agencies as well as local communities and nonprofits. He also recently served as Chapter President of the American Planning Association Delaware Chapter from 2022-2024, was the Urban Land Institute Delaware Council co-chair from 2019-2021, serves as a member of the Resilient and Sustainable Communities League (RASCL) Planning Advisory Committee, and served on the Executive Committee for Sussex Housing Group. Sean has a Bachelor degree and a Master of Community Planning degree from the University of Maryland and has been an AICP planner for 15 years.
Jennifer is an experienced urban planner with a strong background in city planning, development services, and project management. She recently served as Senior Director of Planning for the City of Waxahachie, Texas (2021–2025), where she led sustainable planning initiatives and advised the City Council. Prior roles include Acting Development Services Director and Assistant Director in Burleson, Texas, and key planning positions in Arlington, where she managed major projects like the Viridian community and Loews Luxury Hotel.
Her career began in Carson City, Nevada, where she advanced from Planning Technician to Principal Planner II. She holds a Bachelor and Master of Architecture from the New School of Architecture in San Diego and is certified as an AICP, LEED AP, and CNU-A. A U.S. Naval Reserves veteran, she served as a Hospital Corpsman during Operation Desert Storm.
Varshini is a dynamic Multimodal Planner; She is a Planner by Profession and a Poet at Heart. Her journey into planning began in high school, leading to a bachelor’s and a master’s in urban planning, and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Transportation Planning.
Outside of her work, she has a passion for traveling and caring for her beautiful plants. As a proud parent of over 35 plants, they help her stay grounded and maintain balance in her life. She also enjoys journaling. Varshini is dedicated to sharing her knowledge, continuously learning new skills, and contributing to community work. She is an active member of the APA Florida Planning for all Committee, Vice Chair of the APA Florida Emerging Planners Group, and is deeply involved in several other APA divisions.

He previously served as Director of Strategic Planning for NAVFAC in San Diego and led asset management across commands in the U.S. and Asia, overseeing facilities valued at over $100 billion.
His background includes senior planning roles with the U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps, as well as city planning experience in Oklahoma City. He is a recipient of the U.S. Air Force Outstanding Community Planner Award and the Meritorious Civilian Service Medal.
