Explorations - Independent or small-group activities that focus on concept development, manipulatives, data collection, problem solving, games, and skill reviews.
cube - A regular polyhedron with 6 square faces. A cube has 8 vertices and 12 edges. The smaller cube of the base-10 blocks , measuring 1-cm on each edge.
long - The base-10 block that is equivalent to ten 1-cm cubes. Sometimes called a rod.
flat - The base-10 block that is equivalent to one hundred 1-cm cubes.
