August Newsletter

August 2019 *Next week we hope to introduce students to their laptops, do some assessments to determine reading levels; do some of our fall writing prompts; begin our first interdisciplinary hands-on project about Continents and Oceans; go to a quick bus safety presentation; begin our math lessons; and soon, students will have the wonderful opportunity to participate in Cub Chorus (a big favorite of almost all third and fourth graders) and upper grade science buddies (older students will come to our room and work with pairs of third graders as we explore and conduct science challenges that meet our science engineering standards for third grade).

*****THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who sent in bonus supplies and materials for our class to share. It is SO greatly appreciated! Also, thank you for sending in your child's white 1.5" or 2" binder (that they will take home, filled with their greatest work, in June).

Please be sure to check your child's home-school folder for any important notices. I will always send out group emails prior to field trips or any special events, to make sure you know about them.
