Our expectation is that all students achieve at a proficient level given the necessary supports and that instruction is adjusted to allow students to learn at their own rates and provide supports to all students. This article, 10 Principles of Proficiency-Based Learning, provides more information about PBE. AOS 93 has developed Assessment Beliefs

PBE refers to a system of instruction, assessment, grading, and academic reporting that is based on students demonstrating that they have learned the knowledge and skills they are expected to learn as they progress through their education.
