New Staff Training Day - AUGUST 20, 2026
Support for teachers new to the profession and for teachers new to Winslow Public Schools
Here in Winslow Public Schools, we offer a variety of support to teachers who are new to the teaching profession and to those who may not be new to teaching but are new to our school district.
Our Curriculum Coordinator will be hosting "Teacher Support Meetings" that meet once a month with all of our new teachers (both those who are new to the profession and those who are new to the district), providing them with time, space, and resources to navigate the dynamic world of classroom teaching and to support one another through a year in a new district.
Meetings for the 2026-2027 school year are scheduled for:

Get connected with Google Classroom. Our Curriculum Coordinator will reach out to ALL of our new teachers with an invitation to join the "New Teacher Support Meetings" Google Classroom. This will be a place to keep updated on the latest announcements, scheduled meetings, resources, and more.
Certification Questions?
In addition to having a District Certification Coordinator, each building as a representative who is there is help with certification questions.

Mentors
Our Certification Coordinator, Trisha Souviney, will be in touch with new teachers to arrange for mentor support sometime mid-to-late September.
