Transition to One Calendar
We're sharing this from the program office to help with planning for SDP students. FAQ for students
There has been an update regarding the University’s One Calendar initiative and what it means specifically for your path within the MAP Program. This initiative moves Antioch’s quarter-based programs to a unified semester calendar.
The goal of this transition is to align academic schedules across the institution to simplify registration and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.
If your enrollment in the quarterly MAP Program continues after December 31, 2027, you will be impacted. Please read further for details about the timing, and how the conversion will impact your particular degree path.
Timeline for MAP (Traditional and Low Residency programs)
While the university moves toward a unified system, the timeline varies by program. Here is where we currently stand:
Current Status: We are operating on a Quarter schedule.
Our Transition Date: We are planning to move to the new semester calendar in January 2028.
How This Affects You
Starting January 2028, our courses will shift to a semester-based offering.
Graduating BEFORE January 2028: This transition will not affect you.
Graduating AFTER January 2028: You will transition to the semester calendar taking the same curriculum currently offered in the quarter system.
If your plans change: If your graduation is delayed beyond December 2027, you will move to the new calendar for the rest of your program.
