Students in the MAP program typically begin clinical training in their 5th quarter (or part-time equivalent). While the SDP specialization does not have specific clinical training requirements, we provide a list of recommended sites based on student requests.
This list highlights clinical training sites that offer psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, existential, and integrative theoretical orientations. Sites that may offer SDP-oriented trainings are also noted. Please keep in mind:
You are not required to choose a site from the list below. Additional options are available on the Clinical Training site.
Always verify information directly with the site to ensure it is up to date.
Theoretical orientations listed are not exhaustive—many sites incorporate a variety of approaches.
SDP encourages students to apply their orientation to whichever site they are placed at. You do not have to practice spiritual or depth oriented theories in your training site in order to be in the specialization.
Use this resource to explore training opportunities that align with your interests and professional goals.
