Antioch University Los Angeles Commencement Ceremonies
will be held on the AULA Campus in
Culver City, California on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
Antioch University 2025 Commencement Ceremonies are outdoor, in-person events on the AULA campus.
Arrival & Parking: We recommend graduates arrive one hour prior to their Commencement Ceremony time to ensure that each grad has enough time to park and to prepare for the ceremony. AULA will provide one parking validation per graduate for the Culver 400 parking lot. Parking validation is available at the Information Desk. Guests who park in the Culver 400 parking lot will need to pay for their parking. Rates are posted at the entry gates ($15 daily maximum) and are payable with a credit card (cashless). Street parking is available along Hannum and Uplander, to the South of the campus. Please click here for map and directions.
Check-In: Each graduate is required to Check-In at the Information Desk. The Information Desk is located in the AULA Campus Courtyard, near the pedestrian exit from the 400 Culver Parking Structure. Graduates may check-in up to one hour prior to their ceremony time. When checking-in, grads will be given a Name Card with their printed name and phonetic pronunciation. During the ceremony, grads give their Name Card to the Announcer just before crossing the stage. The Name Card is critical to participation in the ceremony and so grads must keep it until they are queued to cross the stage. If you have concerns about the spelling or pronunciation of your name, please notify Antioch staff at the Information Desk
Pre- and Post-Ceremony Reception: Each 2025 Commencement Ceremony is accompanied by a lightly-catered reception. The pre-Ceremony reception is a time for graduates to arrive on campus, check-in, receive their name card, welcome their guests, greet their peers, visit the Friends & Family Photo Booth, and don regalia in the Graduate Robing Area.
Friends & Family Photo Booth: Graduates and guests are encouraged to visit the Friends & Family Photo booth, which is staffed with professional photographers. All are encouraged to get group photos taken here throughout the celebration. Proofs are emailed to each graduate and photographs are available for purchase after the event.
Graduate Robing: Graduates are encouraged to wear their regalia to the event. For guidance on how to don your regalia, please review a video provided by Oak Hall, here:
Master's Degree Regalia - Please note that Master's grads will be asked to turn their tassels during the ceremony, so Master's grads are asked to wear their tassel on the right, though the video indicates otherwise.
Commencement event staff will be on hand to assist grads with robing at the Graduate Robing area, room B1040, on the West side of the courtyard.
Processional & Ceremony: Fifteen minutes prior to each ceremony, graduates form a processional line near the east side of the courtyard (near Slauson Ave on the upper right corner of the below venue map). To the classic tune of "Pomp and Circumstance," Antioch faculty leads the processional through the assembled crowd. Once faculty and graduates find their designated seats, the Ceremony begins.
Following brief speeches, graduates are invited to approach the stage, surrender their name card to the Announcer, and ascend 2-4 stairs to the stage while the Announcer reads their name aloud. Your program chair greets you on stage with a handshake and diploma, and you both pose together for the photographer. The Provost greets you as you cross the stage, and you pose for a portrait on your own. After posing for a portrait, graduates descend 2-4 stairs on the far side of the stage and are asked to return to their seats. Once all graduates have returned to their seats, the Provost will signal when to move your tassel.
NOTE: While there is no opportunity for graduates to participate remotely, all eligible graduate names will be listed in the program. All graduates may also submit a photo to be included in the pre- and post-ceremony slide show that will be shown before and after the livestream.
The AULA campus is at Culver 400 and the street address is
400 Corporate Pointe, Culver City, CA, 90230.
Graduates who participate must register in advance for the event.
