District Curriculum and Instruction/Academic Coach
As an Academic & Instructional coach for Anson ISD, I am honored to serve alongside our dedicated administration and my fellow Academic & Instructional coaches, Heather Blancet (AES) and Amy McKnight (AMS). Together, we are committed to empowering teachers, strengthening instructional practices, and ultimately enhancing student achievement across our district. Our role is to partner with educators at every stage, providing resources, encouragement, and actionable strategies to help every student succeed.
Here are some of the key ways we support Anson ISD:
Professional Development – Designing and leading workshops, training sessions, and instructional support opportunities that equip teachers with effective, research-based strategies and innovative approaches to teaching.
Teacher Mentoring & Support – Working one-on-one with teachers to provide lesson planning guidance, classroom observation feedback, and targeted coaching that meets their unique needs.
Data-Driven Instruction – Collaborating with teachers and administrators to interpret student performance data, identify trends, and use those insights to adjust instruction for maximum impact.
Curriculum Development & Alignment – Supporting the creation and refinement of curriculum to ensure it aligns with state standards, district goals, and the needs of our students.
Fostering Collaboration – Encouraging a culture of shared learning by connecting teachers, facilitating professional learning communities, and promoting the exchange of successful practices.
Our ultimate goal is simple yet powerful: to build teacher capacity, strengthen instructional quality, and create meaningful, lasting growth for every student in Anson ISD. Together, we are investing in our teachers today to inspire our leaders of tomorrow.
