New Enrollments

Welcome To Anson High School!

We are excited that your student will become a member of our Bearcat Family!

Following the process below will help us make the transition to AHS as efficient as possible.

Enrollment for the 2021-2022 School Year

What's Needed For Enrollment:



The records from the previous school are necessary to enroll your student in the most appropriate courses.

Please note that if your student has an IEP they cannot be placed in courses until the IEP has been reviewed by EC Staff.

Enrollment Appointments can be scheduled once we have all documents including the Anson County Schools Transfer Affidavit.

    • Once enrollment documents have been approved: You will be contacted to set up an appointment with a AHS School Counselor.

    • AHS Needs the transcript from the previous school or record of High School credits from Middle School (if applicable), before the enrollment appointment with a counselor.

    • New Students wishing to participate in athletics must be officially enrolled as a student and have a current physical form filled out by a doctor.


Mid-Year Enrollment Process (September - May)


1. Complete the enrollment forms and upload required documents The records from the previous school are necessary to enroll your student in the most appropriate courses. Please allow at least a week for the records to be sent to AHS. (*Please note that if your student has an IEP they cannot be placed in courses until the IEP has been reviewed by EC Staff).

2. An appointment will be set with your student's counselor to go over transfer grades, course selections, scheduling and set up your new student tour.

Withdrawal Information


Moving Out of District

During the summer, parents must come in and sign appropriate paperwork to withdraw their student. If a student is moving and will be attending another school outside of Anson County, parents should request the new school to request an official records request form by emailing lookabill.nicole@anson.k12.nc.us.

Records will be forwarded to the student’s new school upon receipt of the official records request form. Due to state reporting guidelines, no phone call or email requests will be accepted.
