If you are new to distance learning for the next semester or have been doing distance learning since the beginning of the year, please take this time to get back in the groove of your schedule.

If you are a full time DL student, you can sign on for class and join us or you can use this website as a tool to participate in independent activities for Creative Arts.

If you are a temporary DL, you will not need to participate in Creative Arts.

New activities and updates for 2021 will begin next week. Have a wonderful first week back!

WAG: Nov 16

Grade 2: In class this week, we will be learning the hand clap game and song Kokoleoko. We will be doing this dance without toughing our partners hands, but if you have family at home in your bubble, please try this with them! You can do this song and dance by yourself or with a partner. Enjoy!

Thanksgiving Percussion

Thanksgiving Rap: do the dance, and rap along if you can! Option: instead of saying the rap, can you keep a steady beat by patting your knees or clapping your hands during the rap section?

Grade 2 and Grade 3

  • Practice rhythm with the presentation link below. We have learned about Ta, Ti Ka and SH. In the video they use Ti Ti instead of Ti Ka but it is the same note and same rhythm.

  • This week you will also learn about the half note. The half note gets two beats.

Grade 2: Review beat vs. rhythm and begin reading rhythm in a song. Cobbler Cobbler from Music Express curriculum.

Grade 3: FJaskern, Swedish dance

  • explore our Ta and Tika rhythm patterns in this song

  • explore binary form

  • learn the choreography to this traditional Swedish dance
