Students should complete 1 activity per week and submit to me. (students who really get interested in one topic and share the progress on their work and want to improve quality or extend that activity may use the same activity for two weeks.)
Students who would rather do "pure math" activities than choose from the options below should visit CK12 for assignments.
OR
Animation
1. Watch this video
2. Then watch this video
3. Create your own (minimum) 15 second stop motion animation
OR Continue watching Pixar in a Box videos in Khan Academy and complete the bouncing ball activity through step 6.
OR
Music and Dance
Watch this math camp video of the "My Feelings" challenge that explains how our geometry concepts fit into choreography.
Create your own original dance with at least one other person in your quarantine household and explain the transformations and symmetries in your dance. You can share through email, text, or post an original TikTok and just share the link and geometry information with me.
OR
Photography
Look at these examples and create 5 of your own One Scene-3 Angles compositions
OR
Watch this video on the rule of thirds in photography and take photographs of five different objects showing a comparison of a photograph using the Fibonacci spiral vs a photograph of the object that doesn’t use the Fibonacci spiral. (10 photographs total)

I have scheduled class meetings in either Zoom or Google Meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays 11-11:30
Choose activities from the Math and Financial Literacy Menu or Menu pg 2 each day. Make sure you update the activity log regularly. You should invest a total of 100 minutes for the week. You may choose 5 or more activities and work about 20 minutes a day or 1 or more larger activities. If you complete 100 minutes in the first day of the week, that is fine.
By completing the activity log and documenting 100 minutes, you will maintain your quarter 3 grade as your quarter 4 grade.
If you would like to earn a higher quarter 4 grade, you should turn in products for some or all of your menu activities. The products can be slideshows, picture of something you made, or a written summary. Grade improvement will depend on the quality and time investment of submissions.

I have created a Circles Grid for you. Grades for quarter 4 will be determined by quarter 3 grades and work completed in quarter 4.
I have scheduled class meetings in either Zoom or Google Meet for period 6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays 12-12:30 and for period 7 12:30-1:00.
1. Make goals and chart progress in the work log a minimum of 4 times per week for a total of 60 minutes. Tracking should be consistent with products I receive and activity in google classroom. Reach the minimum level to maintain grade noted in the Grid.
2. Make goals and chart progress in the work log a minimum of 4 times per week for a total of 60 minutes. Tracking should be consistent with products I receive and activity in google classroom. If you are unable to reach the minimum level to maintain grade noted in the Grid or you get stuck, choose replacement activities from the math and financial literacy menu or menu pg 2 and track these activities and submit products.
as your 4th quarter grade by making goals and charting progress in the work log and reaching one of the grade improvement levels of the grid. For students who work beyond the minimum standard, I do not care how you allot your time. For example, if you can complete the whole circles grid in the first week, congratulations! I trust you will keep your mind occupied with other tasks or I will suggest other math activities if you are interested.
