The Jamaica Animation Nation Network (JANN) is a membership-based organisation run by volunteer members. We are the national industry association dedicated to the development, representation, and protection of Jamaica’s animation sector. As the leading voice for animation in Jamaica, JANN works to strengthen the ecosystem by advocating for the interests of animators, studios, educators, and other creative professionals who contribute to the industry.

Yes! there are animation studios in Jamaica. We have a list on our home page. These are not all the studios that exist, but those we are sure are open for business.

Is there funding for animation?

There is no funding specifically for animation. However, that doesn't mean there aren't ways to find funding. Just requires some clever proposal writing.
Does JANN fund projects?

No we don't fund projects. We are a voluntary run organization and hence we run on a very lean budget. We however share funding opportunities from third party entities.

Yes! Depending on the workshop, it may be free for members. But if you are a subscriber, there will be a fee for the workshop.

Not really. There are a few drawing tablets sold here and there but they are very pricey.

Do I have to pay to attend meetings?
No, you don't. Attending meetings is free; however, you have to pay for workshops and webinars if you are not a member of JANN.
