During the PYPx you will create a "Passion Corner". A place where you will share with your parents and in general the school Community your project and most importantly, the process you went through during this PYP Exhibition.
This space requires careful consideration. What is it that you want to show? How will you prepare it? What resources do you need to gather? What will you say to people visiting? Here a few tips to help you get ready:
Visualize what you would like to share on that day about your passion. How does it look like? What would be the format? (Digital, paper, flyers, etc)
Make sure you review our Anglo PYPx Rubric. Remember you will be assessed with this tool. You will also be asked to self assess your work using the same tool.
Do not only think about the product but also think about how to share your process. Include a special place for your journal and your reflective piece. How would you like to display your journal? Maybe have a special corner with it? How would you share your reflections regarding the Learner Profile and the development of ATL´s?
Give special attention to show your action. What kind of action do you have (or expect to see) as a result of your project?
List all the resources you will need in order to make it happen. (Try to be environmentally aware as well) Where can you get those resources? (Your class? The library? Bring from home? Buy?) Think carefully. If you need an IPad or computer, you might need headsets, speakers or an extension cord so you can connect the computer for example.
List every task that needs to happen, by whom, and by when.
Get all the necessary resources. Make sure you have everything you need ahead of time and ready.
Start working on your Passion Corner, preparing everything you need. You want to have everything ready on that day.
Enjoy! This is an amazing opportunity for you to learn and enjoy your passion.
