Students should be receiving feedback on the learning objectives and assignments that have been given to them from the AISD extended learning program.
By April 17, all students should have a progress report sent to parents through Skyward Family Access. This progress report will describe one of the following:
Engaged - Making Progress: Contact made, and the student has demonstrated effort in attempting/completing work.
Engaged - Not making Progress: Contact made, but the student has not demonstrated effort by attempting and/or completing work.
Not Engaged - No Contact: No contact has been able to be made.
One Math and Science grade on 1st & 3rd weeks starting April 13
One English/Language Arts/Reading and one Social Studies grade on 2nd & 4th week starting April 20.
One graded assignment shall be given every two weeks for all classes in which a student is enrolled.
Periods 1,3,5,7 grades given odd number weeks starting April 13.
Periods 2,4,6,8 grades given even number weeks starting April 20.
More assignments should be given than are mandated for grading. We need students to continue to learn and meet grade-level and course-level objectives.
Feedback from teachers should be continuous and can be in the form of emails, phone calls, Google Classroom, online resource reports, Zoom meetings, and work artifacts.
These grading guidelines are designed to keep students engaged and learning the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for each class. These grading guidelines are at a minimum level and are designed to allow students and parents to demonstrate successful learning from home.
