Pittsburgh CLO is committed to bringing a community together to celebrate a true art form as one of the nation's premier regional theaters. The theater continues to provide the best musical experiences with its critically acclaimed summer season, year-round performances at the CLO Cabaret, exceptional performing arts training opportunities, and new musical productions.
We hope to present next season of both adored classics and exciting new works and ensure that the Pittsburgh audience can enjoy the very best of productions for generations to come.
Flywheel Model for Growth
The slideshows demonstrate what our prioritized values are and how we are going to fulfill them:
We began with identifying our established programs, which are year-long musical offerings and performing arts training opportunities.
We will then continue to produce musicals of the finest quality and substantial education curriculums.
We will ensure our productions appeal to both traditional musical audiences and people unfamiliar with theater before.
As an investor or producer, we will be involved in new productions and make sure the Pittsburgh audience can get the first bite of future Broadway big hits.
To increase opportunities for new artists, we will hold the annual musical theater festival in march for theater writers to workshop and present new works.
To move forward with our DEIA commitment, we will offer a one-year residency to a BIPOC artist who will teach in the CLO academy and receive all the resources and support they would need to create a new piece to run by CLO for two weeks.
By leading in developing new musicals, the CLO will be able to provide local audiences, artists, and students with innumerable opportunities to participate in new musical productions and define Pittsburgh’s position as a cultural destination.
