To forward the season plan of CLO, we will partner with the following members of our community:
Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, Duquesne University, and Point Park University
The CLO Academy has a long-established partnership with educational institutions in facilitating education programs. We want to continue collaborating with instructors representing some of the best teaching artists in our region.
The Backyard at 8th & Penn, Stage AE, Point State Park
Outdoor performance is an essential part of CLO's year-round theatrical offerings. It enables CLO to provide more performances to a larger group of audiences.
The listing venues have either collaborated with CLO before or designed to host live performances.
Backstage Bar, the Carlton, The Commoner, Grand Concourse, Lidia's Pittsburgh, Mezzo, Redbeard's Sports Bar and Grill, Social House Seven, Ten Penny, The Terrace Room
The CLO Cabaret provides food and beverage for audiences to enjoy alongside its fine productions. The restaurant partners are valuable for CLO.
CLO also offers food during outdoor performances to enhance the audience's experience and generate revenue for our community.
To move forward with our DEIA commitment, CLO would like to reach out to New Horizon Theater and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company for joint programming.
Both organizations have created excellent works rooted in African American Experiences.
New Horizon Theater was founded with the mission to "bring to the greater Pittsburgh area consistent, high-quality cultural events, reflecting the African-American points of view, and to provide an ongoing venue for ethnic writers and performers to further their professional development."
Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company produces works of ethnically diverse playwrights and Pittsburgh-themed plays.
