Participate

We encourage interested participants from a diverse group of academics and practitioners from a wide variety of disciplines interested in approaching issues of Citational Justice in the context of researching in the Latin American context, with an eye to general South/South solidarity.

If you are interested in being part of the workshop, please submit a contribution in the form of:

  • A written paper or personal statement of 300 to 1200 words in length,

  • a 250-word commentary on a past publication/writing,

  • a pictorial, equivalent to A2 paper size

  • or a video of no longer than 5 minutes in duration.

Contributions can offer a speculative take on new citational formats and systems, examples of successful citational practices, and reflections about the harms of injustice in knowledge production and citation in the context of research done in and/or for Latin America. All submissions will be peer-reviewed by the workshop organizers and decisions made to secure relevance in relation to the themes of the workshop, as well as to ensure a diverse participant pool.

Please submit your contribution by 11:59 pm on November 17, Anywhere on Earth. We will require at least one author per contribution to register for the conference and attend the workshop. Registration for the workshop will include full access to CLIHC and will be $10. In case of any questions, please feel free to email us at citationaljustice@gmail.com.
