My name is Jamie Fletcher, and I am the Multilingual Learner Program Specialist, or MLPS (formerly ESOL). I teach Multilingual Learners (MLs) at TL Hanna High School. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education English (double-major) from Clemson University and a Master's degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. I also have my ESOL K-12 certification and Literacy Teacher K-12 certification.
This is my 12th year as an ML teacher, but my 25th year teaching. Previously, I have taught high school and middle school English, but teaching Multilingual Learners is by far the best career choice for me because I love to nourish relationships with these students and watch them grow, not just in their English proficiency, but also from children to young adults.
My husband and I have been married for over 20 years, and we have 2 children: our daughter, Emerson, and our son, Levi. When we are not at sporting events with our kids, I enjoy volunteering in our community to support and serve women and children in Anderson and the surrounding areas.
My name is Allie Meaders, and I will be assisting Mrs. Fletcher with MLs at TL Hanna High School this year. I have degrees in elementary education (Bacherlor’s), agriculture education (Master’s), and educational leadership (EdS). I also have my ESOL certification. I have attended Clemson University, Arkansas State University, and University of Phoenix to obtain these degrees. This is my 21st year in Anderson School District Five. I have taught all grade levels as part of my MLP career and third and fifth grades in the general education classroom.
My husband and I have been married for almost 15 years, and we have one son named Keegan. He is starting middle school this year, and he keeps us on our toes with his scouting and soccer team. When we are not chauffeuring Keegan to and from his adventures, we enjoying working on our farm and four wheeling.
I look forward to supporting our MLs this year, making sure they find success and appreciation in and out of the classroom!
