January 2021, I stepped into my first quarter of the Media Technology and Film program. It easily became one of my favorite classes because of its ginormous class size of 6 people, hands-on teaching, building connections with people, and creating relationships regardless of differences.
The class allowed me to network and build connections outside of the classroom that would help aid in both college and my career. This class has not only been life-changing, educating, and overall enjoyable, but I built long-lasting friendships that I will cherish for years to come.
I stepped into the classroom with the mindset of a camera operator as my future career. Although that has since changed and am traveling on a new path, I still have a passion for camera work. Media Technology allowed me the opportunity to work locally with a classmate connection, and Clemson University as a camera operator for sporting events. As the only high school student on the Clemson video crew, I am planning to attend Clemson University and continue to work with the team as I begin my studies as a business major. I am interested in the distribution and logistics field, in which I have built connections with companies in both Anderson and in Columbia, South Carolina.
The production of my film was very shaky, I struggled coming up with ideas and how to pursue them. My dad helped sprout the idea from an old riddle. The riddle goes as,
The film is meant to challenge the obvious, to rewire your mind from an easy solution. I hope I portrayed that well in my film, “Family Medicine.”
