~~ CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF PHS AFJROTC! ~~
AFJROTC Unit SC-20063 started at Pendleton High school in 2006 with a handful of seniors. 20 years later, with almost 90 cadets, our program is still the close-knit group it started as. AFJROTC stands for "Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps". Our program is designed to help cadets become better citizens and leaders. AFJROTC does not recruit high school students for military service. This is a fun, energetic program that offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities.
This year marks TWENTY YEARS since our Air Force JROTC Unit started at Pendleton High School. Since then we have grown so much and there has been so much change in our program and school. Yet, some things always stay the same: OUR SPIRIT!
This photo shows some of the original cadets that helped get this unit established and started us on this amazing journey.
Congratulations to the PHS AFJROTC Senior Class of 2026! We are all so proud of all your hard work over the years! Go Bulldogs!
Congratulations to the PHS AFJROTC Drones Team's Red Dawg 1 on qualifying for the JROTC All-Service National Drone Championship for the second year in a row. Go Red Dawgs!
Cadet of the Month recognizes a cadet that shows good character and commitment to citizenship, participates in class and Corps events, and is a good formal or informal leader during that month.
Cadet Chief Master Sergeant Rogers has been named the Cadet of the Month for April. Emily Rogers is the Kitty Hawk Air Society Commander and Echo Flight Sergeant. She excelled at both responsibilities. During the month of April Emily Rogers led KHAS in multiple community service projects and planned more for the future. Rogers is an active member of the APT and Color Guard teams where she further uses her skills to help those around her.
Most events can also be viewed on the Event Calendar. To get involved in these events or to get further information on items listed in the newsletter: contact Kat Hersom at kh5740@anderson4.org
