Monday we will be using multiplication & division to convert measurements. Wednesday we will review for the Mid Module Test on Thursday, 11/6.
Students will receive a study guide on Monday that will be due on Thursday. Spiral Review/Daily Math will also be assigned
Week of 11/3/25
This week in social studies class, we will practice writing a claim, evidence and reasoning two-paragraph essay on the positive and negative impacts of European exploration. Students will cite several sources including their TCI text, and a compilation of articles on explorers from History with Mr. E - A Social Studies Professional Specializing in American and World History. Finally, we will analyze the rubric so students know exactly what to write in their essays.
Week of 11/3/25
This week, we are continuing our second unit of the year, Ecosystems! We will be continuing our conversation about plant structures and plant needs this week. We also have STEM with Mrs. Warren on Thursday and Friday this week!!
**Extra Credit Opportunity!! On 11/30, students were informed of an extra credit opportunity involving growing a plant in 4 different types of soil. The assignment is posted on Google Classroom at the top of the Classwork tab. This extra credit takes 2 weeks to complete, so it must be started by November 11th in order to be complete by November 25th, the due date!! Please reach out to Mrs. Nauert with any questions!
Week of 11/3/25
Reading: We are continuing our second Amplify unit of the year, focusing on the Aztec, Maya, and Inca civilizations. We will be comparing different aspects of the three civilizations, focusing on the Inca this week.
Writing: Students will be learning how to paraphrase from a text. This strategy will eventually assist them in their final project for this unit!
Homework:
Read 20 minutes of a book of your choice. Please be sure to bring a book to school every day!

This week, we will be reviewing how to use comparison words to represent when we are comparing and contrasting information in writing.
