A huge thank you to the archives department at the Montana Heritage Museum and Montana Historical Society. Their staff guided students in historical research and assisted with archival materials for this project. Specific oral history interviews with Native Americans in Anaconda, Montana, during 1987 were conducted as part of the "Voices of Labor" and "Metals Manufacturing in Four Montana Communities" oral history projects. These collections focus heavily on the lived experiences of Indigenous workers employed at the Anaconda Copper Mining Company smelter and their community organizing efforts. These historical primary sources were used in the student projects, and the full transcripts and audio summaries are preserved in the Montana Historical Society Archives.
