Gross Domestic Product of the United States to Guatamala in Dollars

This graph represents the GDP per capita for the countries of Guatemala and the US. The US has a gigantic GDP per capita compared to Guatemala, which has a very low GDP per capita compared to the US.

A possible contributing factor is that the US is a very industrialized country and has many different industries in which each makes a large sum of money, whereas Guatemala is not very industrialized and mostly profits from the agricultural industry.

Also, GDP per capita is based on the GDP per person or per industry. So when the US has more industries and a larger population than Guatemala, Guatemala can not compare.
