Pike's Peak Atrium Group Leader's Message
Beloved Fraters and Sorors,
Imagine you are walking along a quiet forest path. You hear a brook babbling contentedly, just out of sight. You see a lark flit about 40 feet in front of you, from one side of the path to the other. It lights on a branch of an Aspen tree, tilts its head to look at you, and gives a delighted chirp. A warm breeze caresses your face, and you feel one with the forest.
What brought you here? Away from this peaceful forest trail, you have a busy life. It buzzes with activity, and you help many people solve problems they bring to you. You enjoy working with and for them. Your work with them brings you joy and satisfaction.
But sometimes you enjoy the peace and solitude of this quiet forest trail. This is a place you can recharge and relax. Beauty surrounds you here... it's beauty you can carry with you when you return to your active and sometimes stressful, although rewarding work.
This forest path brings balance and energy to your life.
Imagine what it would be like if you could carry the balance this forest path gives you back to your everyday life. You can, if you take the time to infuse your life with the peace of a path like this regularly.
Of course, your sanctum is like this path. And this path is like your sanctum.
If you spend time regularly in your sanctum, or relaxing in natural settings like this forest path, your busy life will not seem so busy, so rushed. And you'll accomplish more, while keeping that quiet sense of nature with you wherever you go.
Imagine the contented waves of peace that could flow from you, because you take the time to enjoy peace and beauty in whatever you do, or wherever you go.
With all good wishes for Peace Profound, I am
Dave Wheeler
