You are invited to join us for a weekend retreat featuring the Rose Croix University International (RCUI) class "Cycles and Vibrations" by Robert G. Waggener, Ph.D., F.R.C., I.R.C. The event is open to members and nonmembers of AMORC, and will take place at the YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park Center on the border of beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. Cycles and Vibrations - The Rosicrucian Teachings show that everything in our world is vibratory in nature and that these vibrations express in an orderly, set pattern. The role of cycles in this Law of Vibration is a major influence in us, our lives...our world. This class makes students aware of the different cycles at work in our universe and how to live in harmony with these cycles to help live a fuller, more balanced life. Cycles involved in reincarnation and other fascinating topics are covered in depth. The class will include plenty of student participation, and several breaks. During the breaks, participants may engage in discussion, join other activities, or enjoy quiet introspection in the rarefied Rocky Mountain atmosphere.

Dr. Robert Waggener,a Rosicrucian for 63 years, has taught RCUI courses on such diverse subjects as Cycles and Vibrations, Sacred Geometry, Metaphysics, Atlantis, Cosmological Theory, and Alternate Theories of History. He retired from the University of Texas Health Science in San Antonio, where he was a Professor of Medical Physics. Dr Waggener remains very active in teaching, research, and service.

PIKES PEAK ATRIUM: Open meetings are held each quarter at 7:00 pm on 5th Tuesdays presenting AMORC online videos.
COLORADO REGIONAL COMMITTEE: Open meetings are held each month (unless on holiday weekends or preempted by special events) on the fourth Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to Noon. Attendees have been enriched in these following topics:

“Philosophizing on the Mountain”
Years ago, there was a television series on BBC by the name of “Connections,” which demonstrated how various discoveries, scientific achievements, and historical world events were built from one another successively in an interconnected way to bring about particular aspects of modern technology. I’ve always loved that approach, and have used it many times, not just for technology, but for the development of the thought process itself. That’s what the title of this message is all about!

Mountain Rose Pronaos holds Peace Ceremony
Mountain Rose Pronaos held the annual Meditation for Peace at Rotella Park in Denver, on June 23rd. Although it was a blustery day, the rain mostly held off until we completed our meditations. Ed Hansen played lovely native American flute music and we shared much love and peace. Even the geese in the nearby pond swam over to us during our meditation! After the ceremony, due to the wind and chill, we moved our lunch celebration to the Pronaos facility to enjoy our food in warmth and fellowship. Thanks to all the brave souls who came, and we missed those who were unable to attend!

How are we approaching life? I know that there are a lot of people out there that have a set pattern for their approach. They tend to look at the past with a mixture of nostalgia and regret, perhaps wishing they had reacted a little differently to some event. They may look to the future with a little apprehension, not quite sure they are ready for the next big hurdle that the universe will throw at them. And then there is the present – most of us are so overwhelmed by daily life that what we yearn for mostly is escape – movies, TV, internet, reality shows, social networks, etc. Examine your life and see if you follow any of these patterns.

There is a parable from India about a group of blind men trying to describe an elephant. Each one feels a different part of the beast and comes up with a different description. Each is right to the extent of their limited perception. In the end they come to blows thinking the others are deluded or wrong. Really, they are all right and all wrong. Each is right in having a part of the truth and each is wrong in not having all the truth, yet believing that they do.

Don Eugene Carnes
Don Eugene Carnes
Our beloved Fratre, Don Eugene Carnes, made his transition June 2, 2019 in Castle Rock, Colorado. Don was born December 26, 1950 in Long Beach, California and owned a plumbing and heating company in Whittier, California after which time he followed his dream of becoming a successful graphic artist until his transition.
Don and Kathy McAnulty Carnes were married 31 years and he is survived by her, his daughter Jhazmin Carnes of San Diego, California, his twin sister Kathy Carnes and her husband Danny of Downey, California.
He was a lifetime member of the Rosicrucian Order AMORC and served as Master of Empedocles Chapter, Abdiel Lodge and Hermes Lodge in California. He moved to Colorado some years ago and has lived in Castle Rock for the past 8 years with his wife, Kathy.
Don was truly a renaissance man. An extremely gifted cook, he took great pleasure in preparing gourmet meals for his friends. In addition, he was a world traveler – traveling to Egypt and Israel among many of his trips. He was also an avid reader and always had a book or iPad with him to provide many hours of reading and he loved the arts - prior to expressing himself through the graphic arts, he made many paintings, capturing the beauty around him in this artistic manner.
He served the Colorado Region as Newsletter Editor, and multifunctional computer expert for the region over the past decade. He will be greatly missed by the Colorado Region.
