Winter 2018
Greetings from all points of the triangle!
As this is written it is a cold gray morning in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The temperature is in the mid-thirties and all is still. All of nature awaits the Light of Sun’s triumphant return.
One of the first principles of the Rosicrucian studies and of magnetism is simple: the positive seeks the negative. Inevitably, the positive seeks the negative. Magnetic fields are like mystical fields or spiritual fields in this regard. Spirit seeks matter. Likewise, the Light and Life giving energy of the Sun seeks an object for it to reflect upon. That Light is, in turn, transmuted.
On earth the transmutation is into Life, via photosynthesis, and on through multitudinous changes in an infinite number of expressions as those plants form the basis of our food chain. With each new dawn this process of Light and Life repeats itself ever so precisely with the Earth rotating in its tilt at 23.5 degrees from vertical and the revolution of our planet around the sun once every 365.25 days per cycle. The result of this very precise set of movements is life as we know it.
These movements are inevitable and stand as models of the order and precision which govern our planet and our solar system. The positive energy of the Sun seeks each and every one of a surrounding system of planets, holding them in precious balance as part of an incredibly intimate and constantly expanding web of positives seeking their negatives thus manifesting an abundance of Order.
Recognizing this sea of relationships, ancestral Rosicrucians in Egypt and even before, marveled at the mathematical logic and seeming necessity of all they could see and calculate. They established mystery schools and recognized planes of awareness, consciousness, and inclusion in a Cosmic plan. Many of their insights are embodied in our twenty-first century instruction. All of them modeled the order discovered within the student through a more recognizable order without.
Like the plants that use the light of the Sun and transform it into the Light of Life, so we too are agents of transformation. It is inevitable, just as the positive energy of the cosmic and spiritual world seeks a negative receptor through which it can evolve and create itself in ever new expressions of Light. So, in this season of Light’s return, it seems appropriate to clear away the dust and debris of old and no-longer useful habits, and allow the Light of Cosmic Consciousness to shine through in ever more Life giving fashion. It will be attracted to where it is best needed.
This is the Order of Light bringing forth Life.
This is the attraction of Love.
Yours in Light, Life, and Love,
