Our Dual Nature
Beloved Fraters and Sorors, The study of Consciousness has led most of us down many paths, yet the greater part of it is still unknown even to mystics. That is part of the meaning of the infinite. But we still have much that we can study. Much that we can become aware of and realize, whether we simply turn within, turn without, or take some combination of the two directions. Within each of us is that connection with the Divine Essence of the Cosmos that connects each of us with each other. And our outer world has many reminders of how deeply we can penetrate our inner world.
Whether we meditate on the tips of our noses, or on the vastness that constitutes the greater Cosmic awareness, we can find a peace and harmony in our sanctums and in our hearts that we can take with us wherever we go. All it takes is a little thought, a momentary step back from all that assaults us from the outer world.
Do you get it? Now, are you conscious of the birds chirping? How are you conscious of a stream babbling along the trail you’re strolling up? When was the last time you were conscious of the shapes your imagination can see in the clouds?
We can choose whatever part of Consciousness we wish to be a part of, and we have something like an infinite number of choices, even in this limited world!
With all good wishes for Peace Profound,
I am Dave Wheeler
