Grand Councilor's Message

Dear Fratres, Sorores and Friends,

The Law of the Triangle is such an amazing law to observe in action! To have it working in one aspect of our lives is pretty cool. To have it working in three areas all at the same time is awesome!

In my career I have an interest in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). For those that have read about the Web of Wyrd or the Lakota concept of “mitakuye oyasin”, PLM is like that for the corporate world. It is the business practice and systems that allows all departments within a company to share data in a relational database with applications designed for each discipline. As of this writing I have the opportunity to present to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Who knows where this will lead.

In my home life there has been a lot of consternation since my dad moved in with us. For those that are not in the know, if a senior lives with you there are legal ramifications that apply even if the senior is fully capable and cognizant! Well, my dad, wanting to not feel constrained like a child due to the laws, has found his own place and is moving out. (Thank you all who have put light into this situation!)

The third area is that of a subject that I came upon for doing an Open Meeting presentation back in October of 2011. The movie “Anonymous” was coming out the same day and so I decided to do one on the mystery of who really wrote the Shakespearian plays and sonnets. Wow! What a rabbit hole that turned into. I became fascinated with Sir Francis Bacon and The Great Instauration - so much so that I felt inspired to hold a Colorado Regional convention scheduled for the summer of 2014. In addition, I was recently approached by Triangle Lodge of Dallas to do a workshop presentation in July during their Mystical Weekend.

“The Law of the Triangle” can be viewed in many ways, but we will cover two for now. The first is causality - or action, that which is acted upon, and that which results (to yet be acted upon by a further action). In all three areas of my life above it took a conscious decision on my part to act, starting with the mental engagement to decide what to act upon, and then to nurture the path by acting on the results which manifested previously. The second triangle is that which is manifested by the Cosmic. The results did not magically appear because I thought “Hey, wouldn’t it be nice if...” These triangles are in opposite directions for it takes us acting upon what the Cosmic brings forth to us through our work - a continuous loop! But it isn’t a matter of the two triangles working in opposition, for they work together and both are truly required for the manifestation of change in our lives.

If you have any areas of manifestation in which you have seen “The Law of the Triangle” in action, post them as comments on the Colorado group of the Rosicrucian social network. It would be great for these to be shared. Likewise, if you see that somebody has posted something of interest, add a comment! Let’s not only see how it has been put to use, but let’s take the opportunity to put it to use.

Peace Be With You,

Brian Mitchell, FRC
