What makes our vision and mission for childrens ministry different?
Dear Teacher, Parent, Leader or Church,
Welcome to the AMO Children’s Ministry Training Program-a place where the hearts of children are nurtured, their minds are opened to God’s truth, and their spiritual foundations are built with care, creativity and Biblical depth.
We believe that teaching children is one of the greatest honours in the Kingdom. Children are not “little adults”-they are precious disciples in the making, deeply loved by God and ready to encounter Him in their own language, understanding and imagination.
Our desire is to help you lead them, guide them, and ground them in Biblical truth in a way that is meaningful, practical and life-giving.
Whether you serve in a thriving urban church, a rural congregation, a children’s home, or your own living room, our prayer is that this curriculum will empower you to shepherd young hearts with confidence, clarity and joy.
Practical Lessons for Churches With No Physical Resources
We know that many ministries do not have access to printers, craft supplies or classrooms-so we designed a full section of “no-resources activities”.
These lessons use imagination, movement, storytelling and games that require nothing more than the children themselves and the Word of God.
No child is left behind. No church is disadvantaged.
Theory and Practical Teaching Intertwined
Every module blends solid Biblical foundations with hands-on teaching practice.
You will learn:
How children think
How they learn
How to explain complex concepts simply
How to create an engaging environment
How to disciple children in everyday life
You don’t just receive lessons—you receive training that helps you teach the lessons effectively.
Focused on Bible Concepts, Not Just Bible Stories
Most children’s curriculum focuses on retelling stories.
Ours focuses on Biblical concepts that help children understand:
Who God is
Why His Word matters
How Scripture shapes their identity
What faith looks like in real life
Stories become tools to unlock deeper truths-not the final goal.
We teach foundational doctrine in child-friendly language, helping children grow in spiritual understanding, not just memory.
Modern, Relatable Approaches for Today’s Children
Every lesson begins with a modern-day story children understand-friendship, school, fear, choices, kindness, identity-and connects it to a Biblical truth and Scripture passage.
This helps children:
grasp spiritual concepts
apply Scripture to real life
see God in everyday moments
develop their own relationship with Him
Our aim is not only to teach information, but to cultivate spiritual formation
All our Lesson Plans & Teachers Trainings come in sets of 3
Character comes before information.
Identity comes before instruction.
Transformation comes before tradition.
Starting with the Fruits of the Spirit means we are starting with the heart of Christian growth.
These nine weeks lay the foundation for:
emotional maturity
spiritual depth
Godly relationships
and lifelong discipleship
When children learn these truths early, they grow into believers who don’t just know Scripture-they live it.
Our first 9-week course introduces teachers, parents and young learners to the Fruits of the Spirit-the foundational qualities that shape Christian character from the inside out. We believe this is the most important place to begin, especially for children in their early stages of emotional and spiritual development.
Children are not just memorising words like love, joy, peace, and self-control-
they are learning how to understand them, feel them, practice them and recognise them in daily life.
This can be purchased as a hard copy or sent as an ebook.
This will be sent as a document.
This will be sent via email and churches / teachers can then print it according to age groups and needs.
The Fruits of the Spirit are powerful yet simple enough to be explained in ways young minds can grasp.
Instead of overwhelming children with abstract theology, we start with truths that:
shape identity
guide behavior
teach compassion
build emotional intelligence
The earlier these truths are formed, the stronger the child’s spiritual foundation becomes.
Each fruit teaches a life skill children will use every day:
Love → empathy
Joy → gratitude
Peace → calmness
Patience → emotional control
Kindness → care for others
Goodness → integrity
Faithfulness → responsibility
Gentleness → respect
Self-Control → making wise choices
Instead of teaching behavior through rules, we teach it through Biblical character formation.
Children often feel big emotions but don’t know how to:
identify them
name them
manage them
or respond to them
The Fruits of the Spirit provide a vocabulary that is:
safe
biblical
emotionally healthy
spiritually grounding
This helps children mature in both emotional awareness and spiritual wisdom.
Before children learn Bible stories, doctrine or church history, they must first learn who God wants them to become.
Character comes before information.
Identity comes before instruction.
Transformation comes before tradition.
The Fruits of the Spirit help build:
strong self-esteem
self-control
moral compass
empathy
Godly habits
These qualities stay with them for life.
Our curriculum turns each fruit into:
a child-friendly story
an age-appropriate Bible link
a life application
a simple prayer
and practical weekly examples
This creates consistency between:
what children learn
how they behave
and who they grow into
It also equips teachers, churches and parents with tools to teach children in ways they genuinely understand.
