Here are quotes and responses from our, coaches, staff, parents and students
"At present, the fields are unplayable and present safety hazards for our student-athletes. As a result, our middle school soccer teams have been unable to host games on our own field. If the conditions remain,I am not sure how the boys and girls can practice once the season starts in September. We've had to arrange transportation to the High School just to have a safe and suitable space to host matches. This situation has placed added logistical and financial strain on our programs and limits the experience for our students.
In response to the question of what is needed: quite simply, we need a safe, playable field on our middle school campus. Having an on - site field in proper condition is essential not only for the success of our soccer program but also for fostering school spirit, student engagement , and a sense of community. I am not sure when the basketball courts were updated as well. "
"The fields do not represent the hard work, dedication, and commitment that our student atheletes show everyday in school and on the practice fields."
F.O.F. is a project that aims to better out fields in order to benefit our Middle School sports team's. We want a better environment to encourage students to stay out of trouble, to try sports instead. We are interested in getting funds to better out fields. By fixing our fields, we will be able to discipline, teach sportsmanship, responsibility, introduce kids to others (new friends, a second family) and introduce a new safe environment. This will highly benefit students and their behavior." Amaya Hendricks spokesperson for Fix our Fields
