Welcome to our page for Project F.O.F. (Fix our Fields). We are a group of students at Edmund W. Miles Middle School working to improve the quality of our sports team and athletic industries. We plan to reach this goal by fundraising for the quality of our fields for our sports team to practice efficiently. We believe that a better field for our athletic teams to practice will lead to better performance and less risk of injury. It is essential to give our fellow students the resources they need in order to advance in their athletic careers. Involving and encouraging our students to join sports teams will teach them sportsmanship, leadership, and motivation. Not only will it teach them these traits, but it will help keep our students out of gangs and violence, lower obesity rates, and improve mentality.
The basketball hoops are rusty, broken, and old with no net connected to the hoop.
The blacktop is cracked and uneven, with grass starting to sprout through.
Our fences for the softball / baseball fields are small and flimsy.
