The education landscape in Massachusetts is incredibly diverse, with over one out of every six residents being foreign-born, according to the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition. Including and supporting newcomer families is essential to our shared commitment to educational equity. The Federation’s Welcoming Newcomer Families initiatives are tailored to ensure that newcomer families feel welcomed, supported, and empowered.

At a recent National Conference, I had the opportunity to present the Federation’s Welcoming Families Communication Toolkit—a project that has garnered significant attention and interest.
