Math

We will be using the Eureka Math Program this school year for math instruction. While there typically won't be any written math homework to complete, your child will be expected to practice facts for 10 minutes each night. No flashcards at home? No worries! Try using dice, dominoes, or a deck of cards to practice. See the links below for fun ways to practice facts at home!

Also, it is important to know that Common Core standards have not been used in Ohio since the 2016-2017 school year. In February 2017, Ohio released "Ohio's Learning Standards for Mathematics" which I have attached below. While some of the strategies may seem new, the concepts we are teaching are not. We just recognize now that each child grasps mathematical concepts in different ways. Teaching them multiple strategies helps them develop a deeper understanding of the concept being taught and allows them to solve problems in a way that makes most sense to them. I'm always here to help should you have any questions!
