As we build this website for our 2024 school year, please add any questions or comments/suggestions you have for future parents on this form: FAQ's Form. As we collect these questions, we will add them to this subpage.
Where will my child sleep? Your child will sleep in a winterized lodge with other students of the same gender. The parent chaperone (same gender) assigned to your child's group will be in the lodge to supervise.
How will my child be placed in groups? In the fall, we will ask students for input on what friends they might want to be placed in a group with. Please do not email your child's teacher with requests. As you can imagine, placing 200+ kids and 40 adults into groups and assigning them lodging is a huge task!
What if my child has food allergies/dietary needs? Let your child's homeroom teacher know and they can notify camp of your child's needs. Please know that the camp is peanut-free. The only meal you need to provide is a bagged lunch on the first day.
Can my child call home or take their phone to contact me? No. If a call home is needed, teachers will initiate the contact. Cell phone coverage is spotty at camp. No electronics should be sent to camp.
What if my child gets sick or needs OTC medication at camp? If your child is sick at camp, teachers will monitor your child and give them opportunities to take a break/rest. If over-the-counter medication is needed, we will refer to the permission slip where parents marked what types of OTC medications could be administered. The camp has OTC medications on supply. In this instance, teachers will most likely call to get your verbal permission and notify you that your child isn't feeling well. If symptoms continue and we feel that going home is necessary, we will call to arrange for a parent to pick up the student.
My child takes a prescription medication. What do I do? Teachers will administer this medication at the designated times. Please refer to this form: Medication Form for further directions.
